​For 50 years, The Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame has been a leader in recognizing and honoring high school players and community leaders in the area.

The sole purpose of the Sunshine Foundation is to grant the dreams and wishes of seriously ill, physically challenged and abused children, whose parents are under financial strain due to their child's illness.

The local chapter of the Sunshine Foundation, headed by former Mercer County Clerk Cathy DiCostanzo, has benefited greatly from the Delaware Valley Chapter's efforts. Each year, the Mercer County chapter uses a good portion of the proceeds it gets from the Sunshine Classic Football Game to fund its Dreamlift to Disneyworld each spring where handicapped children are provided with a full day of activities at Disneyworld-- with no charge to their families.
